SOMATIC & BODY-ORIENTED COACHING

Somatic coaching is a bodymind approach to change and growth that works through the lens of the whole human experience. It recognises that your worldview is shaped by how you have learned to adapt physically, mentally, emotionally, and relationally to your life experiences.

These highly sophisticated, adaptive strategies create patterns that show up in your beliefs and narratives, but they also leave a physical and emotional imprint in the body. Some of these patterns may be conscious, but many operate outside of conscious awareness. And while they may have helped you cope with life in the past, they may now be outdated, unhelpful, and limiting.

Somatic work helps bring awareness to these conditioned patterns. To understand and acknowledge them. And from this place of compassionate exploration, you can begin to unwind and dismantle them, and build new patterns that are more resourcing, responsive and aligned with who you are becoming and what you want to achieve in your life and work. At its heart it is about reconnecting to your authenticity, vitality and aliveness.

Somatic Coaching is a deeply personal pathway that draws on a range of modalities including Focusing, embodied self-enquiry, constellations, and body-oriented practices. It involves working in an integrated way with breath, movement, posture, felt sense, language and narrative.

It can help you deepen your self-awareness, gain a fresh perspective on challenges, improve emotional agility, and cultivate flexibility and adaptability in the face of uncertainty. It can also support better connection with yourself and others, improve communication skills, boost confidence and self-esteem, and release long-held patterns of stress and tension.

Our somatic coach, Kate, specialises in supporting individuals navigate the raw and messy thresholds of change and growth. She offers individual sessions as well as group classes and programmes.
